Time for Daddy to Fess up!
It has been WAY too long since Daddy last posted and as such I decided to jump onto the blog and let myself be heard.
Only 6 more weeks, it is amazing how close we are to Baby time.........
My better half is growing steadily and the baby is getting stronger and stronger it is absolutely stunning to watch and feel. Our boy is doing so well and mommy is taking such good care of him, I can't wait to be an active part of the family and being able to hold and feel the little man myself.
As i said earlier it is all still a bit "disconnected" from me, I am part of it all and I can feel the baby move and my darling grow but I am just along the side lines..... BUT NOT MUCH LONGER I AM NOT :) :) We are going to our anti-natal classes every Tuesday and last Tuesday we had 2 couples of new parents join the group. They were people who joined the anti-natal classes before us and now had their babies, one couple for only something like 6 weeks and the other couple for about 13 weeks.
As soon as they came in with their babies and all their gear I really got the feeling that everything was taking shape, seeing them with their relatively newborn babies and still getting used to their new life as parent really made me realize that i is all very much happening... Iritana and I will be mommy and daddy..... WOW!!!!!! AMAZING hahaha so awesome I am so excited!
We are slowly gathering more and more gear for the baby and the house is busy and full, one can only imagine what it will be like with the little bubba in our midst, i CAN'T wait!! (which comes in handy since Iritana can't wait for him to come out :o))
The times for baby type training has come upon us as well, Catherine (Iritana's mom) is now living with us and is educating us in various aspects of having a baby. Luckily she has been handling anything from New Born Babies to Kiddos and she has a lot to teach us. I am now learning how to wrap the baby for sleepy time and I am doing great if I ask myself HA HA
Iritana did mention something about "be careful with rotating the baby" (it flew a bit through the air) "don't press down so hard" (the doll was getting a bit flat), "The legs don't bend that way" (the legs don't bend that way) and so on..... I reckon I rock :)
Slowly but surely I can DuDu (Down Up, Down Up)wrap the baby and I'll be ready roll when the baby needs me to be cocooned up!
Ohhh yeah, when we were @ the Anti Natal class, just after the new parents with their baby's left we had another hour full of tips and tricks from 2 of the ladies (mothers) that are also part of the anti natal classes which was rather embarrassing....
One of them started to explain us about nappies, and how to wrap the baby (reason I remembered at the end of the previous paragraph) since I had read quite a bit about disposables, re-usable, s, two in one's, two in two's and so on and so forth and I kept on ranting about it to everyone in the group.
It ended up being half a crusade against the use of disposables, the cost, effect on environment and so on.... I was like a soy late drinking tree hugging hippie .....
ME!!!!! ........................ I mean... WTFluff
I reckon it has been quite enough from me for now... I should go to bed soon anyway as my pregnancy sympathy belly requires some attention in the gym tomorrow :)
Love
Bo
