names names name... and why are we both dreaming of a boy?
Kia Ora e te whanau, pehea ana koutou...
we really are getting closer to D-Day... so I thought that we would kill half an hour going over potential names. After rambling through my entire family tree - I think that we have decided that our little bubba will have a Maori first name.
Tracing through my ancestors, I came up with a few names... incredibly un-pronouncable to Mr Boyard Engels! I started delving a little deeper into my fathers tribe... the names got even trickier for him to say - lets say we have almost decided on a boys name... and probably a great name for a girl. So I thought, if anyone had suggestions - Bo, thought it would be too cruel to name to baby after him.
I have always thought that I knew what I wanted to name my little girl, then again if the father cant pronounce the name... we might just have to re-think it.
It turned into a great laugh session thinking of names... its far away, but we are definately trying to check of a few things on that huge list! I have proposed the idea of naming the girl(s) after my fathers family name - Bristowe to keep in tradition of all the women of our family! Then all the men, Engels... this was just an idea floated, so that both our family lineages stay alive! At the same time - I do have a sizeable family and there are plenty Bristowe's around. Nothing set in stone... just random thoughts and ideas at this stage.
Baby Update...
Its a little strange, but this baby is really active - and I can feel a flourish of butterflies in my stomach every now and again. Its a shame that Bo cant feel it, he tries though... puts his ear to my tummy to see if he can hear ANYTHING!!!
The appetitie has picked up quite a fair bit, still on the salty food, plenty of meat is the menu of the day and lots of water!
Yepp and both of us are dreaming of a little boy, however I wouldnt read much into it... give us two weeks and then we will definately know!
Ma matou ano hoki me tutaki
